About SkjoldCyber

SkjoldCyberhelps people and small businesses in Denmark after a scam, a fraud or a hack. This page shows how a case runs and what we hold ourselves to. Company details will be added once they are confirmed.

How a case runs

  1. 1Report

You answer the intake questions: what happened, when, how you paid, and what you have already told your bank and the police. Where you do not know, you can say so.

  2. 2Fix

We compare what your bank records, your messages and your devices say, to establish what happened and when.

  3. 3Trace

We follow where the money or the access went, one hop at a time, and record what is known and what is not.

  4. 4Act

We prepare the bank recall request, the police report and any takedown request, so each goes to the right place with the right facts.

  5. 5Follow

Your case has a reference and one of five statuses. Updates appear in your account in plain language.

The five statuses

Every case has exactly one of these at any time. The shape and the word always go together.

  • Not startedReceived. A case handler has not begun work yet.
  • Under reviewA case handler is going through what you sent and following the trail.
  • SuspendedWork is paused while we wait for something outside our control, such as a bank reply. The latest update says what.
  • StoppedWe have stopped work on this case. The latest update explains why.
  • CompletedThe work is finished. The final update summarises the outcome.

What we hold ourselves to

Realistic, not reassuring
We tell you what can still be done and what cannot. We do not promise that money will come back.
Plain language
No jargon without an explanation. Every update says what happened, what we did and what comes next.
A case is a record
It has a reference, an owner, a status and a history. Nothing is just a form submission.
Only what we need
The intake asks for what a responder needs and no more. You are already under enough strain.
Beside the authorities, not instead of them
The police and your bank make their own decisions. We prepare what they need and keep you informed.

What we do not do

  • We do not promise that you will get your money back.
  • We do not contact you first to offer to recover money.
  • We never ask for your MitID codes, card PIN or passwords.
  • We do not start work before you have been told about any cost.
  • We do not replace the police or your bank.

Tell us what happened.

Report a case and you get a reference number and a status you can follow. If it cannot wait, call.
